Hideaway could use a little help from its friends with an unusual request for matching donations to directly support our staff and the cafe.
We have cleared every hurdle this year, finding new ways to survive the storms of COVID19. We've be grateful for all of the love and help we've received. (Really grateful.) While we have been able to make ends meet, we still look back on an awful lot of lost revenue, and that directly equates to lost wages for our incredible staff. Even though we continued to pay staff as much as we could through the shutdown and ramping back up process, they suffered a loss just as much as we did. No customers, means no tips. And those funds are an important part of any servers livelihood.
As we move into the holiday season, we received an offer to
***match raised donations to be split between the staff and the cafe***
to get the staff a little something extra in their paychecks as we move into the holiday season and support the business which is experiencing an unprecedented increase in day-to-day expenses. If you can, please consider giving these amazing folks a virtual tip today.
Even $5 helps us get to our goal of unlocking a matching donation for them. We need to raise $500 to achieve the match, but if we raise more, but the more we raise, well, the better.
As always, we at Hideaway have so much love for this community, and while we have had to stop our major fundraising initiatives for the year, we have still done what we could. We feel that returning some of that love to the staff was the best use of those matching funds, and we hope you agree.
