It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved, William Hertzke Jr, affectionately known by many as “Coach Hertzke.” He was more than just a coach—he was a mentor, a father figure, a friend, and a pillar in our community. His impact reached far beyond the field or court; he shaped lives, taught values, and led by example with unwavering love and strength.

Coach Hertzke was also a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather who, alongside his wife Karen, made the selfless decision to adopt and raise three of their grandchildren.

Now, in the wake of his unexpected passing, we are rallying together to support the family he cherished most. His wife, Karen, is now faced with the immense emotional and financial responsibility of continuing to raise their three grandchildren without the man who was her partner, her strength, and her best friend.

This GoFundMe is being created to help ease that burden. Funds will go directly toward:

Funeral and Memorial services

• Educational needs for the grandchildren

Coach Hertzke gave everything he had to everyone he met. He believed in lifting others up, and now it's our turn to lift up the family he loved so dearly.
