Helping the Goldsmith Family

Maxine's husband Shane had just been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. To treat his cancer the Dr's are doing a chemo blast to try and shrink the spots in Shane's liver so that surgery can then be done to remove the cancer. Shane is considered Stage 4 as his cancer spread to his liver.
He was diagnosed just over a week ago and starts the aggressive chemo treatment tomorrow.
Shane is self employed and will be unable to work while he is being treated. This will cause a lot of hardship for them as Maxine only works part time and they have 2 teenage boys to take care of as well.
With losing their main income I wanted to start this campaign to see if we could raise some funds to help them pay their bills over the coming months. Treatment for Shane will be a minimum of 3 months and then he will be reassessed. They will have to travel into Halifax for appointments and they could really use help! 
Maxine is my friend and fellow Westjetter and I wanted to find a way to help support them as much as I could. Please help them get through this difficult time.
