My name is Phillip Gibson. My wife Meghan and I are trying to raise enough money to cover my mother's funeral/memorial expenses as well as her leftover debts.

My mother’s passing was sudden and not expected. She passed on 1/17/2025 during a routine procedure to have a port-a-cath put in for her to start cancer treatments. She had beaten cancer once before and she was ready to fight again. Her passing wasn’t something we were prepared for. She had taken out a life insurance policy, but hadn’t had it very long, so unfortunately, because of that, we aren’t able to receive the whole policy amount. We were fortunate to have family that were able to front us the money for memorial costs and cremation, but that is money we’ve agreed to pay back. My mother also had a few things financed for me and my wife: a washing machine and a living room suite that she got us for Christmas. We’re trying to raise enough money to clear all these debts. Anything is absolutely appreciated. This all comes at you so fast and it’s really hard to be ready for something so unexpected.

We will be holding a Celebration of Life for my mother at a later date. We sincerely appreciate all of the love and support we’ve received so far. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
