Helping the Felici Family

This heartfelt request is for a young man named Ned Felici, Jr. He passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 24, 2019. His parents, Ned and Valerie, his siblings Marissa and Jarred, his young son Ned, grandparents and extended family are trying to cope with this devastating loss. Both of Ned’s parents are on the Philadelphia Police Force and cope with this disease at home and on the streets of Philadelphia.
Addiction is one of the hardest things to battle in life. This is a young man that was the first born child who changed his parents’ life as they started their family. As you look at the picture of this young man, this is the face of addiction – young, sweet, loving and with a beautiful personality. He loved his family and friends deeply. He loved hard and lived hard. Ned was supported during his struggle trying to battle this disease. He worked hard on his recovery and his family was so proud of his everyday efforts.
It is difficult and uneasy for a family to reach out for help. It is also uneasy to speak about Ned’s death and the cause of his passing. But we are “screaming” from the rooftops for those with the disease of addiction to reach out for help, to call a friend, know that you are loved, and most of all that you are surrounded by support. Ned’s mom Valerie is one of the founders of a group that helps those with the disease of addiction – Never Surrender Hope. She helped so many and will continue to “scream” for help for others. Her heart is always open.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are asking for your financial support with the costs that the family will incur in the coming months. Your donations will also help with future educational expenses for Ned’s young son Ned.
As we come together with heartfelt thoughts, know that the Felici family will continue to help all those who need help with this horrible disease. Ned will be remembered through our efforts to help others.
