Our family’s world changed in an instant.

After a sudden medical emergency, Mackenzie was flown to Winnipeg, where doctors determined that the safest path forward was an early delivery. At just 27 weeks, through incredible strength and courage, she delivered our beautiful baby girl, Adalynn.

Adalynn may be tiny, but she is already showing us how strong she is. Every day in the NICU is a step forward, and we are holding onto hope as she continues to grow.

While Mackenzie and Riley remain in Winnipeg by Adalynn’s side, it also means time away from her proud big brothers who are back home in Kenora. Being separated as a family during this time has been one of the hardest parts of this journey.

Along with the emotional toll, there are unexpected financial pressures including travel between Kenora and Winnipeg, accommodations, meals, time away from work, and the ongoing expenses that come with a premature birth and NICU stay.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease that burden so Mackenzie and Riley can focus fully on Adalynn and on keeping their family strong while they navigate the road ahead.
