On a normal day that turned anything but, Andy suffered a drastic fall while power washing a barn roof. In an instant, life changed for him and his family. Andy sustained multiple serious injuries, including a shattered heel, hip, and elbow. He has already undergone hip surgery and will be non-weight bearing for at least three months, with additional surgery for his heel still ahead.
Andy is currently receiving care at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, while his wife, Alyssa, makes the long daily drive from West Salem to be by his side. Alyssa, an ICU nurse, is now balancing the emotional strain of her husband’s recovery, caring for their young son Lincoln (3.5), and managing life at home—including their dog, Rip—all while facing an uncertain road ahead.
As an independent business owner, Andy’s ability to work is on hold for the foreseeable future, placing significant financial and emotional strain on their family. Medical bills, travel expenses, food, and day-to-day living costs are quickly adding up during this already overwhelming time.
We are coming together to support Andy, Alyssa, and Lincoln as they navigate this difficult season. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward easing the financial burden so they can focus on healing, recovery, and being together as a family.
If you’re unable to give financially, prayers, shares, and words of encouragement are just as meaningful and deeply appreciated by all.
Thank you for surrounding this family with love and support— they need all they can get!
With love,
Close friends & family of the Cleavers ❤️
