We are the Cesars, Alfredo and Carrie. We just celebrated 35 years of marriage. Our son Edward lives and works with us at the church. We have been pastoring a church in the desert, and it is isolated from a medical facility that treats stroke patients. Last fall, we asked our superintendent for a move to a church closer to a hospital that could treat my husband, and instead, he told us we were being let go just this spring. The 3 of us will be on the street in 10 days for at least two months until one of us can get another ministry position. We live in a parsonage and make part-time income, so we have not had time to save up for this emergency. We have already started to apply for work, but most positions at the churches we have found begin in September. We have a van and are putting our things into storage until we have a new church to serve. We still have to pay our van payment and insurance and find a place to rent for at least two months. We would appreciate any assistance in our homeless journey until we return to a new church setting in the next two months.
