Helping the Burk Family

Many of you know K-9 Handler Trooper Corey Burk, either by CIU details, certifications or through his success as a Handler and Interdiction officer. After dealing with some abdominal pain, Corey decided to get seen by a medical professional for what was thought to be a ruptured appendix. While attempting to resolve the issue they discovered cancer. Although the cancer is considered stage 4, Corey and the medical staff believe the aggressive treatment method they have chosen will be effective. Corey and his family remain resolute in their faith and confident in the approach they have chosen. Corey is in high spirits and is still the same old talkative funny Corey. With his permission, I am asking you all to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Corey's Criminal Interdiction Unit extended-family has created this GoFundMe account for the Burke family in anticipation for any financial burdens they may encounter while Corey is working through his recovery. Corey's surgery was successful. His doctor and family are very optimistic in his recovery. However, Corey and his family have a long road ahead.
