Helping the Berridge Family

Hello,

We are asking for prayers for David, he experiencing a lot of pain in his lower right abdomen. Took him to the ER at St Mary’s in Hobart. They did a CT and they saw an abscess in that area and alot of inflammation. They admitted him, they placed a drain in that same area to drain the abscess, it’s still there not draining much. Friday he had a colonoscopy they still found that area very inflamed and over by his colon is very inflamed also. The drs are wanting to do surgery because they believe he has Crohn’s disease but we’re waiting on biopsy results. We are trying to get him transferred to the University of Chicago but because he’s stable and non emergent plus them having no beds they won’t transfer him over. The GI drs are trying to push for his transfer but we will see. They placed a PICC line yesterday because David is on a liquid diet and he needs extra nutrients.

We’re trusting God in this situation and just being patient with the outcome of it all.

David will be out of work for we don’t know how long. We are waiting for his short term disability paper work to be filled out. St Mary’s won’t fill it out if we’re getting transferred to the University because they might have different time lines.

I am still working as much as I can. But we are needing assistance for this month, possibly longer. If you feel the need to help we appreciate it, but if not just prayers are the most of importance right now.
