Teammates, friends, and athletes: DAN BEERY OLY and family need our help...
Dan's house and property suffered substantial Schuylkill River damage when Hurricane Ida ripped through Philadelphia last Wednesday night. On Thursday, the entire first floor of Dan's Norristown home was destroyed by an epic flood; tHInk Noah's Ark-like flood! Insurance will not cover all costs associated with this incredible weather event.
Background:
Hurricane Ida slammed the region on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The Schuylkill River crested on Thursday and ended up just below the deck of Strawberry Mansion Bridge. Kelly Drive was completely flooded. The water was so high on the Vine Street Expressway that a daredevil was spotted doing back flips off the 22nd St. overpass into flood water that consumed the Expressway.
Dan is one of the most magnanimous, tenacious, service-oriented, and humble men we know. Dan is the first person to raise a hand and take action when help is needed.
Thanks for spreading the word. Consider joining me and my teammates in supporting the Beerys by donating to the Olympians for Olympians Relief Fund (OORF) via the PayPal Giving Fund (PPFG) a (501 (c)(3) non-profit entity. The PPGF will aggregate all donations and send to OORF whose exclusive mission is to help Olympians in need of assistance. The long history of assistance provided by OORF helps members of our Olympic family like Dan after experiencing financial hardship.
Thank you!

United States Olympic team's OORF:
It takes sacrifice, discipline, and hard work to win a spot on the United States Olympic & Paralympic Team. If you can make the Team, chances are you can make it through many of life's toughest moments. Sometimes, even the most iron-willed athletes are overwhelmed.
In 1999, athletes like you established the Olympians for Olympians Relief Fund. The Fund provides monetary assistance to Olympians and Paralympians who have exhausted their reserves --physically, financially, and otherwise -- in attempting to recover from accidents, natural disasters, long-term illnesses, or injuries.
If you are an Olympian/Paralympian, or know of an Olympian/Paralympian in need, please go to the Contact Us page: http://www.oorf.org/
