Helping the Arent Family

Brittany Arent is a beloved elementary school teacher at Yates Mill Elementary School.  We recently found out that her husband has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.   The following is what Brittany shared on Facebook this week:  "I have been a little quiet about what has been going on in my life the past few months. Partially because it’s a lot to take in at first and I hadn’t quite processed everything! On my husband’s 31st birthday, we found out he had a brain tumor. We were both in complete shock. Month later, we found out it was cancerous and he needed to have surgery. There was a small chance of paralysis from the surgery! Surgery went well and they could remove most of the tumor but it left some left side paralysis. He has been in rehab and is still working on strengthening his body! He has come far but still has a long way to go and now we start chemo and radiation! 
Through all this I am learning many things. 1) I am completely NOT in control of my life- only the Lord is! 2) this is forcing me to slow down my life...which is very hard for me. 3) God is good. He has brought so many people to come along side of us and we are not alone. As a community we want to raise money to help in medical costs, travel, food, expenses...anything that will help the burden of what this young family is dealing with.
