Helping Terri fight Breast canceR

I’ve set up this go fund me to ask for help for my sister Terri. 


She suddenly found out she had breast cancer  right after losing her job of 20 years.  
Imagine you’ve lost your job and your priority is to find another right away , only to find out that you have breast cancer.  Your priorities suddenly must shift .  

She had cobra coverage although there was still some out of pocket, however, that is coming to an end on September 30th.  It has been a long drawn out process of various doctor visits, and treatments, and tests.
 She has a secondary issue that can only be treated at this point by having surgery to either rule out or treat a secondary illness.  The doctor was unable to schedule this surgery until mid to late October, needless to say Terri’s insurance will have expired.  As she will no longer have coverage her dr will require her to either obtain medical coverage or pay half his fee (half being $16500) before he will perform the surgery.  Anyone familiar with surgery or any medical procedure knows there is more than one medical professional involved so there will be more expected out of pocket.


She has tried to buy insurance off the health market but it has been confusing and the policies that have low monthly payments have extremely high deductibles or high monthly payments and still high deductibles for someone who is unemployed.  Because she had a monthly payment from her previous employer for  6 months she was told she couldn’t file for unemployment.  This also prevented her from being eligible for Medicaid.

She doesn’t have a lot to give but what she does give she gives with all her heart which you cant put a monetary value on. She is always there for anyone who needs help.  She was great strength and comfort to our mom daily as breast cancer and chemo took her strength and eventually our mom from us.    

She is always there for anyone who needs help and now needs someone to help her.
