My name is Cathy and Teresa Garner is my friend. Teresa was a care giver for my mother who recently passed away from dementia. Words can not describe how wonderful Teresa was to my mother. I am forever grateful.
As many of you may know Teresa moved back home, Maryville, TN, less than 2 years ago. After a while she was able to get her own home and a wonderful job. Life was good and all was well.
In Dec 2016 Teresa was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Needless to say this turned her world upside down. She had a port placed and under went 35 aggressive radiation & chemotherapy treatments. This left her extremely weak and unable to work. Good news is she was recently declared Cancer Free! Bad news is the healing process is taking longer than expected. She was recently told by her doctor she would be unable to return to work for at least 6 months.
That means 6 months with out a paycheck to pay her monthly mortgage and living expenses.
