Helping Tanya Recover from House Fire
It is with great sadness that I report Tanya McLean and her family’s house caught fire on August 27th, destroying their home.
The fire department needed to cut a hole in the roof and in addition to flame/smoke damage, the whole house has extensive water damage; it is currently unlivable.
Tanya, her children and her small grand babies are presently staying in a hotel—with a very limited supply of clothing and necessities. Their names and ages are as follows:
- Barack 10
- Theodore 7
- King 3
- Sean 20
- Aijalon 31
- Ally Shitzu/bichon fur baby
We all know insurance claims take extensive periods of time. In the short term, these funds will help replace clothing, shoes, and other necessary supplies that was lost in the fire/water damage.
In her time here in Kenosha, Tanya has demonstrated a commitment towards bettering the community, and she’s been fearless in her fight for human and social justice rights.
She’s led the organizing of 50+ peaceful events for the community ranging from voters rights initiatives to candlelight vigils.
Please help me wrap her in the same love she’s wrapped Kenosha in during her time of need.
Every dollar helps, and shares too.
