Very few of you may know that on September 29th our daughter Tamyra had been diagnosed with a large Gist Tumor, which is short for a gastrointestinal stromal tumor. She was flown to Sacred Heart in Spokane WA, where her journey took place. On October 4th, an amazing surgeon went in and removed the tumor but also had to remove over 2/3rds of her stomach as well. There was no signs of it in her lymph nodes and at this moment it seems to have been cancer free (still pending testing). Tamyra is doing AMAZING!!! She has a lot of fight in her which is great because we still have a long road to a full recovery. The reason for this GoFundMe page is to help with her coming home and the additional expenses that insurance doesn't cover.( Aka lost wages to care for our daughter ) we are blessed to have insurance for her as well as her mother's insurance also . She will be coming home tomorrow but will be bringing home a lot of medical equipment and will be needing a in home nurse weekly. She is doing great with soft foods and is looking forward to better foods in the future. The doctors say it'll be a good month or more before removing the additional nutritional support that is needed and possibly returning to school.... crossed fingers.
