My name is Talisa. I am a 23-year-old who moved to Colorado from California to start a new beginning for myself. I have two younger brothers who were cared for by my mom, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest times of my life. My mom recently passed away due to suicide. She had been privately battling breast cancer at 49 years old while carrying years of pain and hardship. I didn’t know the extent of what she was going through, and I believe everything became too much for her to carry alone.
My mom was a loving woman who cared deeply for her children. No matter how hard life got, she always tried to make sure we were okay. She was strong, selfless, and did the best she could with what she had. She carried so much on her shoulders, yet she still gave love in every way she knew how.
Our life was never easy. She was a single mother who always tried to provide for us and give us the best life she could, even through many struggles. We faced hard times, and at points, our family fell into the system. Despite everything, she kept trying and kept carrying the weight of raising my two little brothers.
Now, my brothers have no one else but me. I’m doing everything I can to step up for them while we all grieve this heartbreaking loss. I’m asking for any support to help with their care, stability, daily needs, and to get us through this painful transition. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this means just as much. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
