This feels a little strange to write considering the fact that Talia would never ask me to do this, nor expect it. Actually, she has never asked me for much, if anything at all.

I am hoping you can find it in your heart to financially contribute toward a very long and difficult road to recovery that Talia is now traveling.

Talia has been hospitalized just short of two months now, and is currently in Ann Arbor after undergoing a major liver transplant operation. She will remain in the hospital yet for some time. Prior to the surgery, a sudden decline led to multiple trips to the emergency room and hospitalizations where she was in and out of the ICU multiple times. To be honest, none of us knew if she was going to make it.

Talia will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, and the hospitalization and surgical costs are at this time, unknown.

This financial contribution will go directly to either hospital bills or to Talia’s lengthy rehabilitation that is in front of her, as her recovery will continue even after she is discharged in Ann Arbor. Kind words and well wishes are more than welcome in abundance at any time.
