Helping Susan after Kurt's Passing

Hi I am Stacie Neal and am raising funds for my mother Susan Boudreaux.

On January 28th, 2026, our family lost a great man - our father and my mother’s husband, Kurt Bourdeaux Sr. This has been the hardest thing for all of us, mostly our mother.

This GoFundMe is on her behalf. She was left with many bills, and our family is doing what we can to help keep her afloat during this difficult time.
This woman put her own needs aside to take care of our dad for many years, so now we are trying to take the best care of her. We are coming to you all in our time of need to help her pay for funeral and medical expenses, groceries, and household bills. She has no money coming in and we aren’t sure if she will be able to get all or a portion of dad’s social security. Dad had a small life insurance policy, but it just wasn’t enough to cover everything.

My dad was a Vietnam veteran who loved his country. He was a loving and hard-working man who would help anyone in need and worked until multiple illnesses made it impossible. Their life savings were depleted after losing almost everything during Hurricane Ida. The process of hurricane recovery on their home has taken years. Throughout all of this, dad’s health continued to become worse. First, it was kidney failure which led to the need for frequent dialysis treatments. A diagnosis of Alzheimer's followed. He could no longer do anything to help mom with the yardwork or the ongoing repairs to the house, so my two brothers and I did what we could. Parkinson's and dementia were then also added to the list of diagnoses that were already making life very difficult for dad. We all were devastated by the effects of these diseases on him. My dad was a proud man and never wanted to ask for help. We stayed by his and Mom’s side and told him it was going to be ok. He didn’t want to be a burden. He hated being so sick. We know he is at peace now and miss him terribly. We love him so much.

We want to ease our mom’s mind and her financial needs through this heartbreaking time, but we need help. We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every contribution helps and is sincerely appreciated. Even sharing this page is a huge support.

Thank You and God Bless,
The Boudreaux’s
