Helping Homeless Dogs in Sint Maarten

‍About Me:

Hello, I'm Georgia, a passionate animal lover and a dedicated medical student at American University of the Caribbean Medical School located in Sint Maarten. For 13 years, I've been a vegetarian, driven by my deep compassion for animals and my desire to be a “voice for the voiceless”. At home in Toronto, Canada, I'm a proud mom to 5 rescue dogs, 3 of whom actually found their way from Sint Maarten to my heart. Rescue dogs make amazing and committed companions - I assure you!

The Cause:

I'm on a mission to make a difference in the lives of stray dogs, particularly those in Sint Maarten. I've taken it upon myself to care for the handful of stray dogs who live near my apartment building in Sint Maarten by supplying them with food, water, medicine and essentials such as flea collars. Unfortunately, the local shelter does not have sufficient resources or the capacity to care for these animals. Now, I want to take the next step by ensuring their overall health and well-being through vet visits and spaying. It breaks my heart to see the challenges they face, from hunger and thirst to uncomfortable health issues. I believe that these animals deserve a chance at a better life, and I'm committed to providing it.

Your generous donations will go directly to covering food, vet bills, spaying procedures, transportation costs and other materials needed to hopefully relocate these dogs to their forever homes.
