On December 18, 2025, our dear friend, colleague, and family member, Steve, was involved in a catastrophic accident. What started as a normal day ended in a tragedy that has forever changed the course of his life. During the incident, Steve sustained severe, life-altering injuries. Most devastatingly, the accident resulted in the loss of his hand. In addition to this profound loss, Steve suffered significant head trauma and other secondary injuries that have required intensive medical intervention and ongoing monitoring. Steve has always been a man of action, someone who works with his hands to provide for his family, and is always the first to step up when a neighbor needs help. He is the one who needs it now. The road to recovery will be long and arduous. He is currently facing:
Multiple Surgeries: To address the head injuries and ensure the proper healing of his arm.
Rehabilitation: Extensive physical and occupational therapy to relearn daily tasks and adapt to life without his hand that can restore some of his independence.
Neurological Care: Continued treatment for his head injuries to ensure a full recovery.
Prosthetic Expenses: The hope is to eventually provide Steve with a high-quality prosthetic that can restore some of his independence.
How Your Donation Will Help: While Steve is a fighter, the financial burden of an accident of this magnitude is overwhelming. Between mounting medical bills, the cost of specialized equipment, and the lack of income while he is unable to work, the stress is immense.
We are raising funds to help cover:
1. Immediate medical out-of-pocket expenses and hospital stays.
2. Long-term rehabilitation and therapy sessions.
3. Future prosthetic costs and fittings.
4. Daily living expenses for Steve and his family during this transition.
Other Ways to Help: We understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. If you cannot give financially, please consider:
