We are the Jones' family. On October 15th, 2019, our lives were drastically changed. We got the most devastating news that Steve (our dad, and husband to our mom) has been diagnosed with a disease called ALS, also known as Lou-Gehrig's disease . Many of you may remember the "Ice bucket challenge" a couple years ago to raise awareness for ALS. At that time, we had actually never even heard about it. ALS is a disease in which a person loses connection with all their muscles which leads to the loss of their ability to walk, eat, talk, and eventually breathe!

It is a very rough time for our family right now, but at the same time it has grown us closer to each other, and we are clinging to God. We are expecting a miracle for Steve.

This is a battle that is very hard on families not only emotionally and physically, but financially. Steve is going to very soon need a special motorized wheelchair. They are going to need drastic house adjustments to accommodate the wheelchair access to every part of the house, and all other finances from this that keep pouring in!  

The ALS Foundation estimates that “the financial cost to families of persons with ALS is exceedingly high. It is estimated that care can cost an average of $200,000 a year. Patients' and relatives' entire savings are quickly depleted because of the extraordinary cost involved in the care of ALS patients.”

More than anything, we are asking for ALL the prayers. Prayers are more important than ANY amount of money. There is no problem too big for God. "The bigger the problem, the bigger the miracle" is what we are believing in!

We are asking for help in providing help for our family to adjust to the horrific ALS disease and its expenses. We are praying for a trial that comes along, and this money can help with that.

Those of you that know Steve, he has never had a bad day in his life. He ALWAYS has a smile on his face, and he is the most positive person in this world. Even through all of this, not even being able to speak, and is losing most mobility, he still has a smile on his face and continues to be positive through it all! He loves Jesus more than anything. He loves his wife, Holly, and he loves his family. He is the most incredible person on this planet. Please help Steve and Holly in their financial fight with this gross ALS battle.

More importantly, please be praying for them. God is good in every circumstance, and we give ALL the glory to Him.
