I am writing on behalf of Squeeky (Charles) Bishop & Family,

Squeek is a man that has had countless ups and downs and the reason for this GoFundMe is no exception. Squeek has recently had a knee replacement surgery to correct a botched surgery that was done years ago. The surgery was successful earlier this week and he was SO happy to be on the road of recovery and the hope of being out the agonizing pain that he dealt with daily. Within 24 hours of being home, everything changed.

This GoFundMe will cover Squeek’s medical bills and the family/business expenses while Squeek is recovering over the next few months. The expenses include house/living bills, vehicle/equipment payments, and the biggest stress of unforeseen medical expenses from surgery complications along with multiple emergency transports. Helping this family will give squeak the recovery time he so desperately needs. This assistance will help him to get to his next surgery on the other knee and back to work as the sole provider for his family.

History & Details:

Years ago, Squeek was struck by a tractor trailer while on his motorcycle. He had multiple surgeries at that time to reconstruct his body. The damage to his body was extensive which included both legs and ultimately his knees. One knee was worse that the other and it was by the grace of God that he was able to keep that leg.

Fast-forward to this surgery. Going through with this first surgery was a necessary risk so Squeek would be able to remain mobile after years of his leg deteriorating from the wear and tear of a hard physical life and a shotty surgery from the past. Like mentioned above, Squeek’s surgery was successful but within 24 hours, his blood pressure was through the roof and excruciating pain flared up from his back down to his foot.

For those who don’t know him so well, this man knows pain… so this new disabling pain was frightening for the whole family. He was immediately transported to the hospital that was closest to his house (via protocol) where they tried to get him stable. After being unsuccessful, with every pain medicine that they could provide, he was medically transported to the hospital where the surgery initially took place. At the second hospital they were able to determine there was infection in his body resulting from the surgery.

What was supposed to be a simple routine knee replacement with minimal risk and potential for complications - Squeek finally won the lottery of the worst-case scenario fine print. He is stable now but not 100% in the clear until his body is fully healed.

Squeeks personality may come off as tough, gritty and blatantly honest… but if you have ever spent some time with him, you would know he is genuine, generous and reliable for any job. He is selfless to a fault at times, and it can be physically and financially at his own expense.

For someone who would never ask for help (Squeek), I would like to ask for donations on his behalf because what this money could buy, is literally time. Time for him to heal properly. Time for him to not stress about jumping back into a physically demanding job to provide for his family and to cover medical bills that will surely be massive. If you are unable to donate at this time, at least sharing Squeek's story and this fundraiser would mean the world to me and I know this family would be most grateful for anything that can help them through this difficult time.
