Helping Sister Warrior Jamilia Welcome Sam Home
Donation protected
This month, Sister Warrior, Jamilia Land will be welcoming her husband, organizer and leader Sam Brown home from Lancaster Prison after 24 years. Sam and Jamilia have committed their lives to end the over-incarceration of people of color and in particular, abolishing indentured servitude from California’s Constitution. Thanks to Jamilia and Sam’s efforts, along with the California Abolition Act Coalition, ACA 3 was passed through public safety and appropriations this year in a historic 13 to 3 vote, and will make it to the assembly floor in early 2022. Sam comes home an accomplished man, earning his BA from CSU Los Angeles as a 4.0 student! We are all so excited and ready to welcome him home.
But we need some support.
Jamilia and Sam have poured all their resources into ACA 3. We are working to raise at least $8000 for our Sister Warrior family to ensure Sam has everything he needs to come home and live a life of quality. No amount is too big or small. Let’s give Sam a welcome he will never forget, and support our Sister Warrior as she holds it down!
