Hi! My name is Joanne and I'm fundraising for my mother in law Xiulan Guan.

Xiulan Guan had a throat tumor on Feb. 11, 2022 that was confirmed to be throat cancer. Xiulan Guan is fifty-eight years old. She is an immigrant to Canada. She is a hard worker. She was a single mother who struggled to care for her children into adulthood.

Unfortunately, She got throat cancer near retirement age, and doctors scheduled the surgery on March 10, 2022, at Vancouver General Hospital. She was devastated emotionally and physically when she learned she had caner, and she was unable to work for a short time after the surgery. In the past two years, her income has been reduced due to COVID-19. The purpose of this fundraising is to relieve her heavy financial burden, help Xiulan Guan fight cancer and focus on recovery to return to a normal life.

Green leaves need the sun to shine, and they never refuse it. We need love and we don't deny it.
