Sid is a much-loved member of our Ullet Road Church community and an active part of our Sunday School. At just 12 years old, she has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) and has begun chemotherapy at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Sid is a gentle, compassionate, and wise young person who brings a quiet kindness wherever she goes. She is known for her thoughtfulness toward others, always ready to listen, always ready to offer warmth and friendship.
Those who know Sid often say the same thing about her: she is simply very sweet.
Sid loves music, reading, and playing the guitar, and these things bring her comfort and joy. As she begins the difficult journey of treatment, our church community would like to surround her with encouragement and create some moments of happiness along the way.
We are raising funds to provide a few special things that will help brighten Sid’s days during treatment:
• A Golden Retriever Experience Voucher – time spent with these wonderful therapy dogs, bringing comfort, joy, and smiles.
• A ¾ Guitar – so Sid can continue to enjoy music and play while she spends time recovering.
• A Samsung Tablet – to help her watch films, read, listen to music, and stay connected with friends during long hospital stays.
Any support, no matter how small, will help bring some light and joy into Sid’s days during this challenging time.
If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page is another wonderful way to help.
Sid is already showing great courage as she begins treatment, and we hope this small act of community kindness reminds her how many people are thinking of her and cheering her on.
With gratitude,
