Helping our Kids Orbit and Park Slope Day Camp Family

Shirley and Tykeem have apart of our Kids Orbit & Park Slope Day Camp community since 2018 as counselors and supervisors. Even as they branched off in their careers, working at Public School 889, they have always been a phone call away, ready to help any way they can. Right now, we would like to reciprocate that same help to them.

In 2025, Shirley and Tykeem welcomed their first child together in March. They quickly saw how parenthood can become a rollercoaster, now being faced with a premature son and navigating ongoing health complications. Days turned into months spent at the hospital helping their son grow stronger. While the ride threw them for a loop, the small wins started to turn into big wins. Just a few weeks before his first birthday, the happy couple was able to take baby Tay home. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of being home, Tay is now back in the hospital facing some more health complications. Knowing this, the realization that their medical expenses are yet again about to increase, started to set in. Now offers the space to show our support in their time of need.

While we know this may be a challenging road, we would like to help them in any way. Any donation to their growing medical expenses will help.
