Hi, my name is Sophia, and I’m raising funds to support my mom Sherri Elidrissi aka the Madhatter of Venice Beach, as she recovers from extensive emergency abdominal surgery that she underwent on Christmas Eve.

Due to the seriousness of the procedure, her recovery will be long, and she will not be able to work or earn income during this time. My mom is a small business owner who runs her own crochet business, and stepping away from her work has been incredibly difficult, but necessary for her healing.

While she does have insurance, it will not cover all of her medical bills. Between out-of-pocket costs, follow-up care, medications, and basic living expenses, the financial strain has quickly become overwhelming.

On top of this, she will also need help with daily care and support for her small dog while she recovers. My biggest hope is that she can focus on getting better without the constant stress of how to manage these expenses.
