Helping Shanna's Cause

Shanna was our miracle baby. She was diagnosed with Praader Willi Syndrome since birth. Look it up on PWS.org to read more in detail. She's had many many procedures since coming into our world. Always a fighter, never a complainer she out lived a diagnosis of a year or less because of her lack of suckling skills. Once she got a little older the pws took over her body in that she is never full with any food she eats. At first the Dr's werent overly worried because she had a young strong heart. We tried to curb appetite but to no avail. She has no fat burners in her body. She started ELP at school for everything from communication skills to motor skills and learning skills at the age of 3. She thrived and loved her schooling so much she graduated from high school a year and a half early at 17 1/2 yrs old last January. Shanna has been sick the past month. Turns out her heart is damaged and her lungs were filled with fluid. Dr's had taken out over 19 litres from her body in 3 days. They have said there is nothing more they can do for her. She came home November 28th on oxygen and diuretics. Hospice has been called in to help us with cares and other issues that may arise. We were told she may have a week to a couple months to live under these conditions.

All money raised will go to Shanna's care and future needs ie funeral ,headstone..
