My name is Louis. I’m 23 years old, and this isn’t just a fundraiser for me—it’s something deeply personal.
Some of my most meaningful memories are with my grandparents. Being there for them, helping them with everyday things, making sure they felt safe and cared for—it never felt like a responsibility, it felt like love.
But through those moments, I started to notice something that stuck with me.
The older they got, the more they began to lose pieces of their independence… and with that, a part of themselves.
Something as simple as getting to a doctor’s appointment became stressful. Not because they didn’t want to go—but because they didn’t want to feel like a burden. And I watched the people who raised me start to hesitate to ask for help.
That feeling is something no one talks about enough.
Over the last 4 years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), I’ve seen this same story play out again and again—not just with my family, but with so many others. Families doing everything they can, stretching themselves thin. Elderly individuals silently carrying guilt for needing help. Missed appointments. Delayed care. Stress on both sides.
And the truth is… a lot of it comes down to something as basic as transportation.
That’s why I’m determined to build a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) and private transportation service—but not just any service.
I want to create something that treats people with patience, dignity, and respect. A service where no one feels rushed, ignored, or like “just another ride.” A service that helps people hold on to their independence just a little longer—and helps families feel less overwhelmed.
Because I’ve seen what happens when that support is missing.
I’m raising $15,000 to take the first step toward launching this service. These funds will go toward:
• A safe and reliable vehicle for transporting clients
• Commercial insurance and licensing required to operate legally
• Initial business setup and equipment to ensure safe, comfortable rides
If you’re reading this, I’m asking for your support. Not just to help me start a business—but to help me build something that can truly make a difference in people’s lives.
Because one day, we will all either need this kind of help… or love someone who does.
Anything you give, or even just sharing this, means more than you know.
