My best friend of 38 years, Melissa Mann, and her husband Sean, are facing one of the hardest battles of their lives. Sean was recently diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer that has spread to his liver. For the 36 years they have been together, Sean has been the steady provider for their family. Now, as his health is under attack, the financial strain has added to an already overwhelming journey.

This heartbreaking diagnosis comes just 5 years after Sean and Melissa endured the tragic loss of their youngest son in a car accident. Their strength has been tested time and time again, yet they continue to walk in faith.

Anyone who knows Sean and Melissa knows they are the kind of people who give even when they don’t have much to spare. Over the years, they’ve opened their home to me, my children, and many others who were in need. Their generosity and love for others have left a lasting impact on so many lives.
