Helping Savannah on her journey.
Donation protected
The day after Thanksgiving, Savannah (18 yrs) and 3 friends were in a single vehicle fatal accident. Sadly, two of her dear friends didn't make it that day. Savannah was in the hospital for 12 days in the ICU Trauma Unit. She suffered a traumatic brain injury with many brain bleeds, was on life support for 3 days, fractured her face and broke her jaw, had surgery to put pins and a plate in her left arm, and injured her ear and back. She is lucky to be alive. She has come so far at this point in her recovery and it is just the beginning. She still has short term memory issues, loads of body and head pain, on top of all the grief and loss of her friends and being through this unimaginable event. She is home at this time in the care of Donna and Jody.
Giving to the Savannah's Recovery Journey Fund will give Savannah, Donna and Jody the support to get Savannah the proper care she needs since being released from the hospital. They are working with traumatic brain injury specialist, ENT specialist, physical therapy specialist and start cognitive and psychological out patient therapy to help her heal in a healthy way. They will need help covering all of these expenses that are above and beyond what insurance will cover.
We know how hard it can be to ask for help at times. So let's all come together as a family and community to help Savannah, Donna, Jody and the rest of the family, by giving any amount and continuing to pray and have faith in her journey ahead.
May she in time have peace in her heart, mind and her body. May she have unlimited patience and courage on this journey. We love you Savannah! You got this girl!
