We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. Today, we are reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the story of someone very dear to so many, Sarah Barnard, who is facing the toughest battle of her life - cancer.

Sarah is a remarkable individual who has always been there for others, offering a helping hand and a warm heart. She and her husband Shawn have touched the lives of many with their infectious laughter, unwavering support, and genuine kindness. But now, it is our turn to rally around them and offer our support during this challenging time.

Recently, Sarah was diagnosed with what started off as DCIS grade 3 breast cancer (Ductal carcinoma in situ). This news has shaken their world and ours, leaving us all with a mix of emotions - fear, sadness, and a deep desire to help. Sarah has undergone surgery to remove all of the cancer but after further evaluation from the doctors, Sarah was then diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer with HER-2 positive, resulting in the need for chemotherapy and Herceptin regimen.

As they embark on their chemotherapy journey, we want to ensure that they have the necessary resources to focus on Sarah’s health and well-being without the added burden of financial stress. As most know, Sarah is a entrepreneur and has her own cleaning service business, Got it Maid as well as the popular & local mom and pop shop that she and her husband Shawn own & operate together, Double Down Outdoors. Due to Sarah’s fight against cancer, it has forced her to seize operation of her cleaning service company. She has tried to find the energy to continue serving others but it has become physically trying on her to do so.

Chemotherapy is not only physically demanding but also financially draining. The cost of treatments, medications, doctor visits, and other medical expenses can quickly add up, placing a significant strain on Sarah and Shawn’s finances. That's why we have created this GoFundMe campaign - to provide them with the financial support they need to navigate this challenging journey with peace of mind.
