I wanted to introduce you all to our wonderful nanny Samantha K. She takes care of our two amazing boys, one who is 6 months and the other turned 3 years old today.

The idea of this GoFundMe page came from some wonderful Danville/Blackhawk community members. Samantha's story did not originate from us. It started when one of those amazing community members posted her story to NextDoor and I chimed in that Samantha nanny's for us. After a handful of comments some have suggested setting up a GoFundMe to help. So we have. Below is the story of what happened.

Yesterday, February 4th, while taking our children for a walk Samantha lost $1,700 that was in her coat pocket which was there because she had planned on getting a cashiers check later in the day. She forgot that the money was in her pocket at all. After coming back to our home with the children, realizing it was missing, we searched the house to no avail and it dawned on her that it likely feel out of her pocket as she removed her coat during the walk to place under the stroller. Samantha is a single mom of three children and without going to deep, every penny counts right now and is very needed.

Samantha is blown away with the support that we have shared with her. We have started the recovery process with an initial $100 so I have set up the fund with a goal of $1,600. 

My wife and I also want to thank our community for being so terrific.
