It is with heavy hearts that we find ourselves creating this page for an incredible woman I am so proud to call my cousin, Sally.
Life can change in an instant, and sometimes it throws us a curveball we could never have prepared for. That is what brings us here today.
For those who may not know Sally, she is a devoted wife, a loving mother to two beautiful daughters, and a much-adored nana to two precious grandchildren. At just 49 years old, Sally has received the most devastating news of all: a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease.
In April 2025, Sally’s speech began to slow slightly, and she noticed weakness on her left side. After numerous GP visits and hospital admissions, countless tests were carried out, yet she was discharged without answers and placed under the care of the neurology team for further investigation.
Amidst all of this uncertainty, Sally somehow found the strength to plan her dream wedding. In November 2025, she married the love of her life, Martyn, and finally became Mrs. As much as she may drive him mad at times, Martyn is incredibly lucky to have such a strong, loving, and remarkable woman by his side.
Further tests and scans eventually led to the heartbreaking diagnosis of MND.
Martyn, who previously worked full-time to support his family, has now become Sally’s full-time carer. As you can imagine, this sudden change has placed a huge financial strain on the family, making it difficult for them to focus on what truly matters: creating precious memories together in the limited time they have.
Through this page, we are hoping to ease some of that burden. Any support raised will help relieve financial pressures, allowing Sally, Martyn, and their family to spend meaningful time together and make memories that will be cherished forever, both now and in the future.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a truly meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page would be deeply appreciated. Please know there is absolutely no pressure.
With so much love and gratitude,
