Helping Russ Hicks with his Medical expenses.
Donation protected
On June 19th the day before Father's Day, my brother-n-law Russ came to help us install a door at our house. At some point during the day, Russ stepped onto a wood screw that pierced through his shoe and into the bottom of his right foot.
Russ is a diabetic and has neuropathy in his feet so he did not realize what had happened until later that night.
Fast forward...
It turned into a nightmare for Russ and his family. For the past 13 weeks Russ has been in and out of the hospital, battling infection in his foot and is also facing gallbladder surgery in the next 2 weeks. Sadly, Russ had to have his right foot amputated on Friday, September 17th.
While this is going to be a major adjustment for Russ and his wife Sherry, the medical expenses are continuing to build up and he has been out of work since June 21st. He has been on an IV antibiotic that insurance didn't cover for 10 weeks. There will be tons of trips to therapy as well as doctors appointments, prosthesis and the list goes on..
If you feel led to give anything on their behalf to help curve some of these expenses, they would gratefully appreciate it. If you can't give financially, please pray for Russ, his wife - Sherry, and their children - Dustin and Whitney as they seek their "new" normal together with Russ
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." ~ Joshua 1:9
