Life has thrown our family an unexpected challenge. I recently lost my job without much warning, and while I’m actively searching for new work and waiting for my unemployment benefits to begin, we’re facing a difficult financial gap right now.
I’m a parent to two amazing teenage kids who depend on me every day. Like many families, we were managing paying bills, keeping up with school needs, and doing our best to build a stable home. Losing one income so suddenly has made it incredibly hard to keep up with basic expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation.
I want to be clear, this is a temporary setback, not a permanent situation. I am actively applying for jobs, exploring new opportunities, and doing everything I can to get back on my feet as quickly as possible. In the meantime, I’m trying to keep life as normal and stable as possible for my kids while we get through this transition.
Any support will go directly toward essential living expenses until unemployment begins and I secure new employment. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts means just as much.
Asking for help is never easy, but right now it would make a meaningful difference in helping us stay afloat during this uncertain time. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support, kindness, or encouragement you can offer.
With the greatest appreciation and thanks,
Roselyn Smith
