My name is Abby Hunt. On Saturday while everyone was enjoying the beautiful sunny day, my oldest brother Rob was fighting for his life. My brother was struck by a car while PARTICIPATING in a triathlon also known as an Ironman. He got struck by a car at a high rate. He was on a bicycle, and he doesn’t remember much, but what we do remember is he was losing the battle fast. He was rushed to the emergency room, and taken into surgery right away. He is suffering from internal bleeding along with a broken pelvis and other injuries. This is going to be a long recovery process both physically and financially. 

Rob is mentally exhausted. As many of you know my family was hit with the loss of our mom recently. Rob found an outlet and that was he loved bike racing. It was his outlet to the process of grief. This is one less thing my family needed while grieving the loss of our mom. 

Rob today: he is currently out of the ICU. He is a fighter. He is stable. My brother wants to thank everyone for checking up on him.
