Helping Rick and Barbara King.

As many people have heard in the news, on the evening of Saturday, December 18th, 2021, Barb King and her husband Rick (both in their 60s) were brutally stabbed multiple times in their Nanaimo home. They are both currently in hospital with significant injuries. Barb is in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and is awaiting surgery and Rick is currently in the ICU at Victoria General Hospital.
This is a terribly traumatic experience for them to have gone through, especially so close to the holidays. It’s unfortunate that bad things happen to good people because these two individuals are some of the kindest people around. Barb is so bubbly and sweet and she is described by her coworkers as "a ray of sunshine who brightens the day of anyone she meets.” The community is shocked by this tragedy and we want to help with any future costs that this wonderful couple might encounter on their journey to recovery.
Barb, being the kind person she is did many fundraisers and volunteer work within the community.
This is an opportunity to come together to support Barbara and Rick during their healing process and with any other medical expenses that they will endure. Any help is greatly appreciated!
