2022 UPDATE

Thank you everyone for your kind and thoughtful donations! With the help of your generosity, Richard has been able to clean up his previously flooded studio and rebuild much of what had been destroyed in the floods. His shop is back to working condition and he is once again able to accept custom lighting and custom furniture commissions.

Hi Everyone,

Please help me raise some funds to help my good friend and brilliant artist Richard Polo who lost many of his expensive tools and belongings in last nights flash flooding.

Like so many others who were affected by hurricane IDA, last night our historic YOHO Arts building in Yonkers, NY was unexpectedly flooded . Most of the artists, artisans and businesses on the ground floor were greatly affected and some have lost many of their tools and supplies that help provide them their livelihoods.

We are hoping to raise funds to help Richard pay for new tools so he can rebuild his beloved workshop. In addition, he will be using some of the funds to help pay for cleaning and disinfecting his space of the sewage water that so quickly destroyed his inspiring studio workshop and the home of his two adopted kittens, Lucas and Bianca. Finally, should his flooder car end up extensively damaged, he will be using some funds to help pay for its repair.

Richard is a kind soul who is always raising his hand to help anyone in need. As an artist, he is always inspiring others with his enthusiasm for artistry and craftsmanship. As a friend, he is always eager to ask you about your day and encourages others to smile with his genuine positivity.
