I’m Jennifer Vigil, Rey Vigil’s (Little Rey’s) wife.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., our family suffered a devastating tragedy. My mother-in-law, Berna Vigil, lost her life as the result of a drunk driver. At this time, my father-in-law, Ray (Big Ray) Vigil, remains in the ICU in critical condition, fighting for his life.

Many family members and friends have reached out asking how they can help and support Rey and Melanie during this incredibly difficult time. While we are not asking for donations, we understand that some people would like to contribute financially. To make that easier, we have created this GoFundMe account.

Any funds received will go directly to Rey and Melanie to help offset daily expenses during this ongoing crisis, including daily meals, travel costs, and occasional lodging as they spend long days and nights at the hospital supporting Ray and praying and hoping for his recovery.
