-Hello-
Let me introduce you to Revan. 2lbs, 10oz, and a fighter. His due date was January 8, 2021, but he made his appearance into this world on November 4th, 2020--ten weeks too early.

He is the first born to his parents, Doug and Ashlan, and neither one of them expected to meet their little guy this early. Just a few days ago they thought the pregnancy was going well. He was twisting and turning and kicking mom. Then he slowed down. At the doctor's, they discovered his oxygen levels were low and an emergency cesarean section was ordered. With his tossing and turning, Revan's umbilical cord twisted around his neck three to four times, slowing his oxygen and nutrients.
Petrified for the worst and praying for the their son, Doug and Ashlan met Revan face to face. He was perfect and they fell in love as new parents due.
Within a day, this preemie was amazing the nurses, doctors, and his parents. Breathing on his own, the ventilator was removed. Within the hour devastating news came. This little guy's body couldn't break down protein and was diagnosed with Protein Enzyme Deficiency--an extremely rare disorder. The hospital he was born in didn't have a metabolic specialist so he was meta-flighted out by helicopter to a hospital a few hours away. Before he left, his parents were able to hold him for the first time.

I'm on Go Fund Me because Revan is my great nephew and I'm asking for donations for his parents. We don't know the road Revan has to face. As of now, he's looking to be in the hospital until his original due date. I'm hoping this fundraiser will help ease the stress of medical, hotels, food, future medical procedures, and any other costs arising from this situation so Doug and Ashlan can just focus on their son's health. We're hoping to raise $10,000 or more within the next two weeks to help with Revan's medical care.
We are over the moon appreciative if you can donate, spread the world, and/or add Revan to your prayers.
Thank you!
Sarah
