Helping Rebuild a Community in Cebu Phillipines

Hello, my name is Kharen from California.

As we prepare to Christmas, one of my employees in the Philippines stopped responding for a few days. We started to worry and then found out that they have been hit by a devastating Typhoon.

 

She sent me this msg:

 

"Hello sir! As of now we don't have electricity and internet in my town. We we're directly hit by the typhoon. It took 50% of our house. We don't have rooms now and roof. I travelled more than 100km today to get mobile reception for me to contact you. Stayed at the gas station more than 5 hours for fuel since some stations were damaged. Scarcity of water and food."

 

My heart sank! :(

 

After speaking with her and finding more info on the internet, I quickly found out that every house in her village has been severely damaged and there is no shelter, food, or water.

 

My goal is to raise enough funds to put at least roofs on top of each home and possibly rebuild at least 1 house.

 

A roof installation costs roughly $200 per home.

 

Rebuilding a completely destroyed home will be about $7k

 

With Christmas only 4 days away, I am going to do my best to do everything that I can to spread awareness, personally contribute, and help them as much as I can!

 

It would be greatly appreciated If you are able to help as well.

 

They won’t be getting any Christmas gifts this year and most have lost everything.. but at least we can help them have shelter and start rebuilding their lives!
