Friends and family, we have been blessed to be together on this earth to share our love of life and each other. God has provided with me with so many caring and considerate people that I am overwhelmed with their love and generosity. At times in all of our lives, we face unexpected and devastating circumstances that we know not how to navigate. All those who know me, and those who perhaps not well, are aware of a loss my family had several years back. The support and care provided every ounce of strength we needed to overcome our loss and while we still suffer, your support still carries us.

My family is now experiencing another crisis and we could use your thoughts, prayers and charity. Very recently, my sister-in-law Julie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer for which she is currently undergoing treatment. I will call her phase of treatment as all or nothing: heavy chemo drugs, high doses of radiation, and a bone-marrow transplant all over a short period of time.

Thus far, through her earlier and current treatments she has had an outstanding perspective and is battling better than I could possibly imagine. My brother Randy has been a constant pillar of support and strength, opting to suspend all other things in his life to be there while they battle together. As well as suffering from the despair of the illness and treatment, they have suffered financial challenges that resulted in them liquidating assets to secure the necessary treatments.

In their life before illness, both had committed themselves to education and treatment of those suffering from substance abuse. They are the most humble, kind-hearted and giving people that I have been fortunate enough to have in my life.

I ask for your prayers more than anything. I ask for your generosity and charity if you have the means.
