Hi. I'm Rachel and I'm a final year PhD student finishing up my degree in Rhetoric and Composition at NIU. In the fall, I start teaching at College of DuPage and College of Lake County as an Adjunct Professor.

Normally, in summers, I would have a side job to help with bills. I worked for Top Driver as a driver's ed teacher. This summer, they did not have a classroom for me to teach, so I was doing behind-the-wheel. Unfortunately, every shift I would be hit with a horrible ocular migraine that would then turn into a hemiplegic migraine. I knew I needed to stop. I also have lupus, so I think that was being triggered by the stress, heat, and sun.

This week, my car, my partner's car, and my brother's car have all decided to have issues.

My car - check engine light on, emissions test due, plates just expired, light out.

Partner's car - plates just expired, emissions test due, engine light on.

Brother's car - AC not working.

My brother has been sick with a bad cough and unable to work, and my partner recently had to go to a program for their mental health, so their finances took a hit too.

I start teaching at the end of August and don't get paid until September.

I am trying to start a tarot reading, tea leaves reading, craft business, and selling things, but we need money like yesterday and I'm not sure what else to do. If you would rather me read your fortune instead of just giving, let me know! I love reading for people and helping others connect with spirit.

I just, I'm not sure what else to do. It doesn't make sense for me to start another job. And my brother and partner are both battling with their stuff and trying to get back to work.

Anything helps and is appreciated. And I can give readings or, if local, I'll bake for you or cook. Hell, I can edit your resume and cover letter or help you with any writing you need done.

Just, I need the cars working and money for food and gas and things until September.
