Helping Presley-Cortez Family Heal from Loss of Baby Azlynn
Donation protected
Tragically and unexpectedly, our family is experiencing the loss of my 3 week old precious neice, Azlynn Presley. Our baby girl passed away the morning of 09/22/24. My sister, Tonya Cortez, and my brother in law, Shawn Presley, are absolutely confused, shattered, and devastated. The worst thing that can happen to someone, is happening to two of the people I love the most. They are such selfless individuals who are always looking out for everyone else, I hate seeing them in so much pain. I've created this go fund me to acquire funds to help them with funeral expenses, and to provide them with financial stability while they are both off work while they grieve their baby. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of assistance during such a difficult time than my sister and brother in law. Any help, any amount, is greatly appreciated. You can also donate in person to Umqua Bank, ask to donate to Tonya Lizzette Cortes Zurita (full name required). If you would prefer to donate to Tonya directly, here is her information:

I will also post names of donors who donate directly to us, so they can be acknowledged for their kindness, as we really do appreciate such a sacrifice when the economy is so unstable. All words of sympathy will be shared with Tonya and Shawn, they need all the encouragement you are able and willing to provide. We have also set up a meal train if you wish to contribute that way:

Baby Azlynn was such a light in our lives that was dimmed extremely too soon. Although we only had a few weeks with her, she made an unbelievable impact in our lives. We are forever grateful for each minute she blessed us with her presence. She had the most beautiful smile, she was the essence of innocence. When around Azlynn, you felt an immediate sense of peace, she was perfect in every way. She was constantly smiling in her sleep, when awake she would stare at you with big curious eyes, and she absolutely adored being held and loved on. We needed her just as much as she needed us, maybe even more. My sister never left her side, she was the absolute best Mom to baby Azlynn. We now have to adjust to a life without her, and we cannot even fathom the thought. But, we're comforted in knowing that baby Azlynn only knew love during her short time on earth with us. And she experienced the most genuine love, from many, many people (aunts, uncles, cousins, friends) apart from her parents and grandparents that adored her with every ounce of their being. Rest in Paradise Baby Azlynn, we look forward to seeing you again and watching you grow and flourish one day!
We have been blown away with the amount of love and support shown to our family by our community thus far. It's comforting to know we do not have to go through this alone. And we apologize if we do not respond promptly to messages/comments, it's been a very rough couple of days for us. Please know that every comment and message is read, shared, and appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. I also ask that you respect Tonya's privacy and do not directly contact her, as she is understandably struggling to get through each day. She is focused on grieving, coping, and healing. Your prayers are also very appreciated
