Cant tie my own shoes but I can drive
Peter is a C5 quadriplegic going on 32 years since he dove into a shallow lake back in 1987. Even though the doctors told him he would never be able to push himself in a wheelchair, he has pushed himself in a manual wheelchair all these years. They also told him he would never be able to drive… But he conquered that as well!
He's been driving a wheelchair equipped cargo size van for the last 30 years. After a recent car accident, his 22-year-old van is no longer drivable.
Peter is such a force of sharing and goodness in the world. He is a producer, a writer and a proud and talented mouth painter for the MFPA (Mouth & Feet Painting Artists), but what he loves best is motivational speaking and giving inspirational speeches at schools and in Children's Hospitals. He is also often invited out to organizations to demonstrate his mouth painting and he is also a spiritual mentor to many. We really want to help Peter regain his independence in the world to be out there sharing and doing what he does for others!
