You can make a difference by donating today to Penicuik Community First Responders.
Penicuik Community First Responders (PCFR) are a group of local volunteers trained by the Scottish Ambulance Service to attend specified medical emergencies and provide an initial response whilst the ambulance is en route on average 20 times per month. We are locally based and have an average response time of around 5 minutes and provide early intervention with cardiac arrests, heart attacks, breathing difficulties and collapse.

Over the years, Penicuik Community First Responders (PCFR) have installed 8 Public Access Defibrillators (PADS) and cabinets throughout the Penicuik and surrounding area.
Like many organisations, PCFR has found it very difficult to raise funds to maintain and expand these valuable lifesaving pieces of kit over the past few years. In previous years we have been able to fund cabinet maintenance, replacement doors, the replacement of pads due to being used or passing their expiry date (every two years) by using previous donations.
However, there’s always a however, unfortunately, our funds are diminishing, and to keep these Public Access Defibrillators in a condition ready for use as well as expand the local network to other hot spots within and around Penicuik, we, unfortunately, need to raise further funds.
The PCFR thank you in advance for any donations received.
