Helping Patty Rakes during her Recovery

As most of you already know, our favorite girl, Patty Rakes, is currently receiving treatment for tongue cancer.  She had surgery to remove the tumor (approximately 1/3 of her tongue) on July 13th .   Her recovery from this procedure has been a difficult one, but, as you all know, our girl is a trooper!  During the surgery they discovered that the tumor was located on a vessel and she will need to have radiation treatment for six weeks.  Then, as she was preparing for this, she learned just last week she needed an additional neck dissection surgery on August 14th.   This means that, combined with radiation treatments, she will be unable to return to work until mid to late September.  Unfortunately, the initial surgery, and recovery time needed from this, had already depleted all her vacation/sick time.

Patty is ALWAYS the first person to step-up and help anyone who needs it.  Let’s help her during this difficult time.  We are hoping to raise enough funds to remove some of her financial stresses so that she may focus ALL of her thoughts and energies towards healing her body, mind and spirit during this journey.   We are so thankful and blessed for our circle of caring family and friends.   Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts for her continued healing.
