Seeing my formerly 20 pound cat clock in at roughly half that is almost surreal. Spaces he used to fill (or be overflowing from) he now has room for a friend in. My cat is probably dying.

Saving him is the goal, but helping him live with less pain and more ease until it's time is the bar. Vet visits, medications, just elder cat care to give him the best possible quality of life, like he does mine. Pacino is my companion, my comfort furball, my four-legged friend of many, many years. Giving that love back to him, making what we have left the best for him, I just can't manage it myself.
